Are you looking for Summer School/Summer Camp Information?

NEWS

If you need extra tickets for graduation they will be on sale in the bookstore on May 14th.  They will be $5.00 per ticket with a maximum purchase of two tickets per day. The tickets can only purchased if a parent attended the mandatory parent meeting.

Attention Seniors who attended Laguna Elementary School in 1st grade.  Come to Peter Piper Pizza at Frank Lloyd Wright and the 101 on Saturday at 2pm.  We will be unwrapping our time capsules – don’t forget to bring yours.

Any personal medications or inhalers given to the health center must be picked up before the end of the school year.  The health center can not keep any medications or inhalers over the summer.  Any left will be thrown away.

There will be a colorguard clinic and audition from 3 – 4:30pm on Wednesday, May 14th, in the dance room.  Learn how to spin a flag and meet your fellow future guard members.

SPORTS

Spring Football continues this week, Monday thru Thursday from 4:30 – 7pm!

Attention to all wrestlers! There will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday May 14th at 2:55pm in the Wrestling Room. Everyone must attend, No exceptions! If you have any questions please see Coach Fredericks.

Congratulations to the athletes who competed in the State Track meet on Saturday evening. Marissa Opatz improved her time in both the 1600 and 800 meters amongst a field of tough competitors. She was also a member of the Girls 4 by 400 meter relay team along with Megan Opatz, Caitlin Fine and Michelle Kreutzberg who earned an eighth place medal. Caitlin also earned a medal in the 300 meter hurdles. Great job all!

All Track athletes: Please stop by Coach Collier's classroom to pick up a ballot for team awards. You must vote by the end of today

June 2nd thru June 19th

  • 1pm to 4pm
  • Incoming 9th - 12th grade (the oldest player in camp should be a 2008 graduate)

  • 9am – 12pm
  • Incoming 6th grade – 8th grade (the youngest player in camp should enter the 6th grade in 2008)

Girls Soccer Summer Camp

July 28th – August 8th; 7-9am

This camp will be run with an emphasis on building technical and tactical skill relating to our style of play.  In addition, we will work on agility/speed training.  This camp is open to any player interested in trying out for the girls soccer team in late fall at DMHS.  The girls soccer program is run by head coach Liam O’Shea, United States Soccer Federation nationally licensed coach and former player with the Tucson Fireballs professional soccer club.  The program looks to build on its successes after it’s’ return to 5A-1 and continue it’s 10 consecutive seasons in the state playoffs.

Wrestling Summer Camp

Session 1:  June 9th – 26th; Monday – Thursday, 2pm – 4pm

Session 2:  July 7th – 24th; Monday – Thursday, 2pm – 4pm

Each session will include drilling technique, live wrestling and conditioning skills.  This camp is imperative for wrestlers to prepare for the upcoming season.
