Seniors: All academic requirements and financial obligations must be satisfied prior to graduation. Fees, textbooks, library books, uniforms, elevator keys and all school property MUST be returned/reconciled in the bookstore prior to the ceremony to allow participation. Questions? Cap and Gown Orders

Caps and gowns should be ordered by Friday, March 28th, 2025, directly from the Jostens website.

  • If you have any questions, please call Jostens at 1-800-JOSTENS.

Prom

Saturday, April 5th, 2025, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm at the Scottsdale Airpark.

  • Tickets are $80 in the bookstore, $100 at the door (sale date TBD).

Senior Breakfast

Friday, May 2nd, 2025, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at Culinary Dropout

  • Tickets are $40.00, cash or check only, in the Bookstore (sale date TBD).
  • Student provide their own transportation to and from the event.
  • NOTE: This is an optional event. SUSD is not responsible for students prior to arrival and after departure.

Senior Academic Awards Night

Thursday, May 8th, 2025, at 6:00 pm in the DM Auditorium.

  • This is an invite only event!
  • Paper and email invites will be sent directly to senior students and parents.

Senior Sunset

More info to come as things are finalized!

  • Only Desert Mountain seniors are permitted to attend this event. It is a fun way for our soon-to-be graduates to connect with their 2025 class and reminiscence about their high school experiences.

Graduation Caps & Gown Info

  • Seniors will be able to pick up their caps/gown sets in April (official date/time to come) in Room 8101. If they cannot pick up during this day/time, items will be available in the Senior Admin Office (across the hall from Attendance) the following day.
  • If there are outstanding fines on the student account, they will not be able to pick up their items until their fines have been paid. (To review your account and check for fines, please Click Here)

Graduation Ticket Info

  • Each graduating student will receive 4 complimentary graduation tickets.
  • Additional tickets (no limit) will be available for purchase at $10.00 per ticket (CASH ONLY).
  • All attendees over the age of 2 will need to have a ticket to enter the graduation ceremony.
  • If the ceremony needs to be moved indoors for any reason, each graduate will receive 2 tickets for entry into the ceremony.
  • If there are outstanding fines on the student account, they will not be able to pick up their items until their fines have been paid (To review your account and check for fines, please Click Here)

Graduation

Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, at 8:00 pm, at the DM football field.

Ceremony Info for Graduates:

  • Graduates arrive NO LATER THAN 6:30pm
  • Row assignments will be posted on the windows by the front office and to the Google Classroom for 2025. Seniors, please check your row assignment before you arrive on Grad Night!
  • Diplomas will be given to each graduate after the ceremony.
  • Graduates must dress appropriately for the formal ceremony.
  • Any graduates disrupting or distracting the ceremony will be removed.
  • Graduation caps must remain UNDECORATED.
  • PLEASE NOTE: HEELS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE FIELD AT ANYTIME, INCLUDING GRADUATES AND GUESTS THAT WANT TO COME ON THE FIELD AFTER THE CEREMONY

Ceremony Info for Spectators:

  • Gates for spectators will be open at 6:30pm (ceremony starts PROMPTLY at 8:00pm).
  • Water will be available for purchase at the ceremony.
  • No outside food/drink.
  • Clear bag policy strictly enforced.
  • No balloons or noisemakers, please!
  • Seating for individuals with a disability is available on a first-come, first-served basis (one guest may accompany each individual in the seating area)
  • Handicap parking will be available in the southwest "Senior" lot along 124th Street.
  • AGAIN, PLEASE NOTE: HEELS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE FIELD AT ANYTIME, INCLUDING GRADUATES AND GUESTS THAT WANT TO COME ON THE FIELD AFTER THE CEREMONY
  • If the ceremony needs to be moved indoors for any reason, each graduate will receive 2 tickets for entry into the ceremony
  • Professional photographers will be taking individual photos of each graduate as they receive their diploma.
